Professional SPC Flooring Installation

SPC, or Stone Plastic Composite, flooring has quickly become the flooring of choice for Malaysian homes and offices, and for good reason. Its rigid stone-composite core makes it 100% waterproof, dimensionally stable in our humid climate, and far more scratch- and dent-resistant than laminate, while its realistic wood-look and stone-look surfaces give the warmth of timber without the maintenance. Our SPC flooring installation service covers everything from supply and selection to a clean, precise fit. We begin by inspecting and levelling the subfloor, because a flat, dry base is essential for a floor that looks good and feels solid underfoot. We then install the planks using a click-lock system that requires no messy adhesives, fit matching skirting and trims, and handle transitions at doorways, stairs, and thresholds for a seamless finish across rooms. SPC is comfortable underfoot, quieter than tile, easy to clean, and ideal for living areas, bedrooms, kitchens, offices, and rental units alike. Common problems we solve include swelling and warping from water that ruins laminate and engineered wood, cold and hard tile surfaces, uneven or noisy existing floors, and the high upkeep of solid timber. Installation is fast and low-dust, so rooms are usable again quickly. As a CIDB-registered contractor serving Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, Tresman Builders delivers durable, great-looking SPC floors with transparent pricing and a workmanship warranty.

SPC Flooring Installation — Frequently Asked Questions

Is SPC flooring really 100% waterproof?+

Yes. Its rigid stone-composite core does not absorb water, so unlike laminate it will not swell or warp, making it ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, and humid areas.

What is the difference between SPC and laminate flooring?+

SPC has a solid stone-composite core that is waterproof and more stable and scratch-resistant, while laminate has a wood-based core that can swell if it gets wet. SPC generally lasts longer in Malaysian conditions.

Do you need to remove existing tiles before installing SPC?+

Not always. SPC can often be laid over sound, level existing tiles or flooring after preparation. We assess and level the subfloor first to ensure a solid result.

How long does SPC installation take?+

Most homes are completed in one to a few days as the click-lock system needs no adhesive curing time, so rooms are usable again quickly.

Can SPC be installed on stairs?+

Yes. We fit SPC on stairs with matching stair-nosing trims for a safe, seamless look that matches the rest of the floor.

Is SPC flooring easy to maintain?+

Very. It only needs sweeping and occasional damp mopping, with no waxing or special treatment, and it resists scratches, stains, and fading.

Do you supply the flooring or only install it?+

We can both supply a wide range of wood- and stone-look finishes and install them, or install material you have chosen.
